Coating Inspector
Position Available
Main Responsibilities:
Perform onsite independent 3rd-party coating inspection of all coating-related activities in field locations in accordance with contract documents and industry standards
Conduct technical measurements and tests using coating inspection equipment on a daily basis
Keep a daily written record of all coating-related activities
Complete and submit Daily Inspection Reports using Microsoft Office and online software
Communicate effectively with key project partners (coating applicators, safety personnel, project manager, inspection supervisor)
Your Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum NACE Level II Certified Coatings Inspector or higher
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years experience as an independent 3rd-party quality assurance coatings inspector
Able to travel and work various shifts and weekends
Capable of conducting meetings with clients in a professional manner
Perform basic mathematical calculations required for reports
Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of a computer, and able to utilize Microsoft Office
Must pass pre-employment drug test, physical & vision exams, and background check
Physical Demands:
Able to perform the following activities: Climbing, Bending, Crawling, Accessing Confined Spaces, Walking Across Uneven Terrain, Working in Various Temperature Extremes, Wearing a Respirator and Safety Equipment
Able to work at heights from Scaffold and Personnel Lifts
Able and willing to follow all applicable site and company safety procedures
